Keldon Johnson Stuffs Stat Sheet In Impressive Win Over Thunder

Banged up Johnson leads Spurs to 127-118 come from behind win

19th triple-double of the season for Vassell

Trailing by 13 points with 3:17 left in the 3rd quarter, the San Antonio Spurs (13-30) staged a furious 20-3 run to take the lead for good against the Oklahoma City Thunder (18-24) at the Paycom Center Saturday night.

Keldon Johnson, who missed the previous two contests with a sore right foot, returned to the lineup with a vengeance. Leading the Spurs in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks, Johnson notched the first triple double of his career with 22 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists, four steals, and two blocks.

Johnson's heroics didn't stop there. With the Thunder trailing by just two points with 45 seconds remaining in the contest, Johnson came up with a huge defensive stop by blocking a Darius Bazley three-point attempt.

The Spurs' second-year lottery pick, Jeremy Sochan, came up with the rebound and was fouled. Sochan hit both free throws to extend San Antonio's lead to four and effectively ice the game.

Johnson's return to the lineup seemingly energized the entire Spurs team. Devin Vassell notched his 19th triple-double of the season, finishing with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Tre Jones was also impressive. Filling in for an injured Josh Primo, Jones finished with 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting.

The Spurs shot 49% from the floor and 43.5% from three. The Thunder shot just 41.7% from the floor and a putrid 18.8% from three.

The win snaps a three-game losing streak for the Spurs. San Antonio will be back in action Monday night when they host the Utah Jazz (26-14) at the AT&T Center.
