Uruguay National Football Team World Cup 2022
The Uruguayan national football team is preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.
The team has been drawn into Group H, alongside Portugal, South Korea, and Ghana. Uruguay is ranked 14th in the FIFA World Rankings, while Portugal is ranked 9th, South Korea is ranked 28th, and Ghana is ranked 60th.
Uruguay will be looking to improve on its performance at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where it was eliminated in the quarterfinals by France.
The team will be led by veteran striker Luis Suarez, who is Uruguay's all-time leading scorer with 68 goals. Suarez will be joined by a number of other talented players, including Edinson Cavani, Diego Godin, and Federico Valverde.
Uruguay has a strong history in the World Cup, having won the tournament twice, in 1930 and 1950. The team has also finished fourth on three occasions, in 1954, 1970, and 2010.
