Turkey 0-0 Wales: Penalty miss was justice served - Bellamy
Wales legend Craig Bellamy said Turkey must feel like justice was served after Gareth Bale missed a penalty in their World Cup play-off semi-final.
Bale's 25th-minute spot-kick was saved by Ugurcan Cakir, meaning the match in Cardiff finished 0-0.
The Dragons now head to Poland on Tuesday for the final, knowing that victory would send them to their first World Cup since 1958.
Bellamy, who won 78 caps for Wales, said: "Turkey will feel if they don't go to the World Cup, the football gods have given them a bit of justice."
Former Wales striker John Hartson said: "It's a huge miss from Bale because I think that's the moment in the game where he can take control. If they score that, it's a completely different ball game."
Bale's penalty miss was his first in a Wales shirt since 2018.
The Real Madrid forward had scored all 19 of his previous spot-kicks for his country, but this time he was denied by Cakir's outstretched right arm.
Bellamy said: "Bale has been practicing penalties, he's been in good form, but he's missed a crucial one tonight.
He added: "They need to pick themselves up because Tuesday is another huge game."
Wales manager Rob Page said: "We're obviously disappointed not to win the game but we're still in a good position.
"We've got to pick ourselves up and go again on Tuesday."
