Ted Lasso's Jason Sudeikis To Play Coach Ted Lasso In Real Life

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Real Salt Lake announced today that the club has hired AFC Richmond's Ted Lasso to be its new head coach.

The move comes as a surprise to many, as Lasso has no prior experience coaching in Major League Soccer.

However, RSL general manager Elliot Fall believes that Lasso's unique approach to coaching will be a perfect fit for the club.

"Ted is a winner," Fall said. "He has a proven track record of success, and we believe that he can help us reach our goals."

Lasso is best known for his work as the head coach of AFC Richmond, a fictional English Premier League club.

Under Lasso's leadership, Richmond won the Premier League title and the FA Cup.

Lasso is also known for his positive attitude and his ability to connect with his players.

"I'm excited to be here," Lasso said. "I believe that RSL has the potential to be a great club, and I'm looking forward to working with the players and staff to achieve our goals."

Lasso will be introduced to the media at a press conference on Thursday.

He will take over as head coach of RSL on January 1, 2023.
