S. Korea coach guarding against complacency ahead of World Cup qualifier vs. Palestine

South Korea will be looking to avoid any complacency when they face Palestine in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.

The Taegeuk Warriors are the clear favorites heading into the match, but coach Paulo Bento is wary of the threat posed by their opponents.

"Palestine is a team that has nothing to lose," Bento said. "They will be playing with freedom and confidence, and we need to be prepared for that."

South Korea has a strong record against Palestine, having won all three of their previous meetings. However, Bento is not taking anything for granted.

"Every game is different," he said. "We need to be focused and disciplined from the start."

South Korea will be without several key players for the match, including Son Heung-min, Hwang Ui-jo, and Kim Min-jae. However, Bento is confident that his team has enough depth to cope with their absences.

"We have a good squad with a lot of talented players," he said. "We are confident that we can get the win."

Palestine is ranked 104th in the FIFA World Rankings, but they have shown that they are capable of causing upsets in the past. They held Iraq to a 0-0 draw in their opening match of the qualifying campaign, and they will be hoping to cause another surprise against South Korea.

"We know that South Korea is a strong team," said Palestine coach Makram Daboub. "But we are confident that we can get a good result."

The match will be played at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman, Jordan. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:00 pm local time.
