QUICK HITS * Notre Dame opens a two-game series against Boston College Friday after playing seven straight Hockey East opponents. * The Irish and Eagles will wrap up their weekend series Saturday night in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, at 7 p.m. ET. * Notre Dame is 4-1-0 in its last five games overall, including a 2-1 overtime victory over rival Michigan last Friday in South Bend. * A power-play goal by sophomore defenseman Nick Leivermann with seven seconds remaining in overtime was the game-winner for the Irish. * Boston College has won six of its last eight games overall and is 5-1-0 in Hockey East play during that stretch. * The Eagles swept a pair of games from UMass Lowell last weekend and are 9-1-0 at home this season. * The Fighting Irish are 20th in the PairWise with a record of 9-8-1 overall and 3-4-1-0 in Big Ten play. * Boston College is seventh in the PairWise with a mark of 13-5-0 overall and 7-3-0-0 in Hockey East play.
