Men's Basketball Hosts Buffalo in Regular Season Home Opener
Bucknell Men's Basketball prepares to host Buffalo in their home opener of the 2022-23 regular season.
The two teams are set to square off at Sojka Pavilion on Tuesday, November 15th, at 7:00 PM.
Bucknell will be fresh off a 4-0 performance through its exhibition schedule, while Buffalo went 2-0 in their own pre-season exhibitions.
Buffalo enters the contest as the favorite, having been selected to finish third in the MAC East Division Preseason Coaches Poll. The Bulls return three starters from a team that went 15-8 in conference play and reached the semifinals of the MAC Tournament a year ago.
Bucknell, meanwhile, will be looking to build on a strong 2021-22 campaign in which they finished 16-15 and reached the Patriot League Tournament championship game. The Bison return four starters from last year's team, including senior guard Xander Rice, who was named to the All-Patriot League Second Team.
Tuesday's game will be the first meeting between Bucknell and Buffalo since the 2019-20 season, when the Bulls won 92-72 at Sojka Pavilion.
This year's edition should be another competitive matchup, as both teams are looking to start the regular season with a win.
Tickets for Tuesday's game are still available and can be purchased online or at the Sojka Pavilion Box Office.
