Max Christie Benefitted From Falling Out Of Lakers Rotation
Los Angeles Lakers guard Max Christie has seen his playing time dwindle in recent weeks
The 19-year-old rookie was a regular starter for the Lakers early in the season but has fallen out of the rotation in recent weeks, averaging just 4.3 minutes per game over his last five appearances.
However, Christie said he believes the reduced playing time has been beneficial for his development.
Christie said he has been able to focus on improving his game
"It's been a good opportunity for me to focus on my individual game and work on some things that I need to improve on," Christie said. "I'm just trying to make the most of it and learn as much as I can."
Christie said he has been working on his ball-handling, shooting, and defense.
Christie said he is grateful for the opportunity to learn from his teammates
"I'm really grateful for the opportunity to be on this team and learn from some of the best players in the world," Christie said. "I'm just trying to soak it all in and learn as much as I can."
Christie said he is confident that he will eventually earn back his spot in the Lakers' rotation.
