Cardinals Win Exhibition Game 93-64

The Louisville Cardinals men's basketball team defeated the Bellarmine Knights 93-64 in an exhibition game at the KFC Yum! Center on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals were led by sophomore guard El Ellis, who scored 18 points and added 5 rebounds. Ellis was 7-of-11 from the field and 4-of-6 from three-point range. Graduate center Sydney Curry scored 14 points and added 8 rebounds, while sophomore forward Brandon Huntley-Hatfield chipped in with 11 points.

Bellarmine Knights Score 19 Points in First Half

The Knights were led by freshman guard Justin Hare, who scored 15 points. Hare was 5-of-13 from the field and 3-of-7 from three-point range. Junior guard Peter Suder scored 12 points and added 4 assists, while senior forward Curt Hopf added 10 points. The Knights shot just 38.5% from the field and 28.6% from three-point range, but they were able to stay in the game by forcing 15 turnovers.

Louisville Cardinals Out-Rebounds Knights 47-24

The Cardinals outrebounded the Knights 47-24, including a 17-6 advantage on the offensive glass. Louisville also shot 52.1% from the field and 40.0% from three-point range. The Cardinals were able to pull away in the second half by forcing 10 turnovers and holding the Knights to just 35.7% shooting from the field.
