Local News: District Magistrate condoles to family of slain woman

Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 26 (ANI): District Magistrate Dinesh Chandra on Sunday condoled the family of slain woman Namita Tripathi, who was allegedly murdered by her husband Ashutosh Tripathi in the Musaha area of the district on Saturday night.

Police arrest accused

The arrested accused is a resident of Khajuri Gonda village under the Musaha police station area. Police said that the deceased was identified as Namita Tripathi, a resident of Nandpur village under the same Musaha police station area.

Deceased had been married for 5 years

The police said that the deceased woman had been married to the accused for around five years and that her husband had also strangulated her to death. Meanwhile, the police have sent the body for post-mortem.

Accused arrested within 6 hours

The murder incident took place at around 8 pm on Saturday. The police arrested the accused within six hours of the incident. Police said the couple had a dispute over some domestic issue and that the accused had been arrested earlier for domestic violence.
