Key Boston Celtics Player Could Miss Cavs Game
Celtics All-Star guard Jaylen Brown is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a right adductor strain.
Brown suffered the injury in the Celtics' 125-114 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night. He played 33 minutes and finished with 28 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Brown is one of the Celtics' most important players. He is averaging 26.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game this season.
If Brown is unable to play against the Cavaliers, it would be a big blow to the Celtics. The Cavaliers are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, having won 10 of their last 11 games.
The Celtics are currently in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 40-27. They are just one game behind the Philadelphia 76ers for fourth place, and two games ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks for sixth place.
The Celtics will need Brown to be healthy and available if they want to make a deep playoff run this season. He is one of their best players and they will need him to be at his best if they want to compete with the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
The Celtics will host the Cavaliers at TD Garden on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. ET.
