Swayman Pulled After Allowing Four Goals on 14 Shots
BOSTON, MA - Jeremy Swayman allowed five goals on 31 shots as the Boston Bruins lost their third straight game, 5-2, to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night at TD Garden.
Swayman was pulled after allowing four goals on 14 shots in the first two periods. Linus Ullmark came on in relief and allowed one goal on 17 shots.
The Bruins have now lost three straight games and are 3-4-0 in their last seven games. They are still in first place in the Atlantic Division, but their lead has been cut to one point over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Blue Jackets scored three goals in the first period and two goals in the second period to take a 5-0 lead. The Bruins scored two goals in the third period, but it was not enough to complete the comeback.
David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand scored the goals for the Bruins. Pastrnak's goal was his 10th of the season, while Marchand's goal was his ninth.
The Bruins will look to snap their losing streak when they host the New York Rangers on Tuesday night at TD Garden.
