Groups Unveiled for 2025 U19 Women's T20 World Cup
Hosts South Africa to Open Against India in the Tournament Opener
Defending champions Australia in Group B alongside England, Pakistan and Sri Lanka
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday announced the groups for the 2025 ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in South Africa from January 14 to 29.
Hosts South Africa will open the tournament against India in the tournament opener at Willowmoore Park in Benoni on January 14.
Defending champions Australia have been placed in Group B alongside England, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The group is scheduled to play their matches at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.
Group A consists of New Zealand, Bangladesh, Ireland and the West Indies. They will play their matches at JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage, which will be played in Benoni from January 22 to 26. The top two teams from the Super Six stage will then progress to the semi-finals, which will be played on January 28. The final will be played at Willowmoore Park on January 29.
The 2025 ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup will be the second edition of the tournament. The inaugural edition was held in 2023 in South Africa, with Australia defeating England in the final to be crowned champions.
