Germany's Focus on Developing for 2026 World Cup, Says Nagelsmann
Germany coach Hansi Flick has said that his team's focus is on developing for the 2026 World Cup, rather than trying to win the 2022 World Cup.
Flick was speaking after Germany's 1-1 draw with England in a friendly match on Tuesday.
Germany is to host the 2026 World Cup, and Flick said that he wants to use the remaining years before the tournament to develop a team that can challenge for the title.
"Our focus is on the 2026 World Cup," Flick said. "We want to use the remaining years to develop a team that can win the World Cup."
Flick said he was pleased with the performance of his team against England and identified it as a positive step in building a winning team.

Germany will play their next match against Hungary in a friendly match on Saturday.
