Early storylines as groups locked in for U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025
The groupings for the 2025 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup have been revealed, with 16 teams set to compete in South Africa
Defending champions India have been placed in Group A alongside Australia, Bangladesh and Indonesia, while England are in Group B with Pakistan, Rwanda and Sri Lanka
The tournament will be the second edition of the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, following the inaugural event in South Africa in 2023
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the groupings for the 2025 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, with 16 teams to take part from January 14 to 29 in South Africa.
The 16 teams have been divided into four groups of four. Group A consists of defending champions India, Australia, Bangladesh and Indonesia, while Group B comprises England, Pakistan, Rwanda and Sri Lanka.
West Indies, New Zealand, Ireland and Zimbabwe make up Group C, and Group D features South Africa, the United States, Namibia and the United Arab Emirates.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage, where they will be divided into two groups of three.
The top two teams from each Super Six group will then qualify for the semi-finals, which will be played on January 27.
The final will be held on January 29 in Potchefstroom.
