Coroner responds to Bethel home after reports of explosion, fire

Numerous Fire Trucks Responded To Home Explosion

Bethel, CT: Bethel authorities were called to a home on Whittlesey Drive this morning around 10:30 after reports of an explosion and fire.

The explosion caused significant damage to the home, and several fire trucks were called to the scene.

No Injuries Reported

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.

Coroner Investigating Death

In a separate incident, the medical examiner is investigating the death of a person found in the rubble of the Bethel home that exploded and caught fire Tuesday morning.
