Canadian pop star Avril Lavigne has announced a Glasgow show on her new world tour.

The 'Love It When You Hate Me' singer will play Glasgow's OVO Hydro on October 5, 2023.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 9am on Friday, May 12.

Lavigne's new world tour will support her latest album, 'Love Sux', which was released in February 2022.

The album features the singles 'Bite Me', 'Love It When You Hate Me' and 'Bois Lie'.

Lavigne's last Glasgow show was in 2019, when she played the SSE Hydro.

The Canadian singer-songwriter has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and has won numerous awards, including eight Grammy Awards.

She is one of the best-selling female artists of all time.

Lavigne's Glasgow show is part of a wider world tour that will see her play shows in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

The tour will kick off in Vancouver, Canada on June 2 and will conclude in Auckland, New Zealand on November 29.
