Bruins news: Andrew Peeke injury update; Brad Marchand, Mark Kastelic miss practice

Peeke out indefinitely, Marchand's status uncertain; Kastelic day-to-day with lower-body issue

The Boston Bruins received some unfortunate news on the injury front Tuesday, as Andrew Peeke has been ruled out indefinitely with a lower-body injury. The 24-year-old defenseman suffered the injury in the Bruins' 4-3 overtime win over the Nashville Predators on Saturday and did not return to the game.

Peeke has been a regular on the Bruins' third pairing this season, averaging 16:34 of ice time per game. He has one goal and three assists in 16 games.

In addition to Peeke, the Bruins also had two other players miss practice Tuesday: Brad Marchand and Mark Kastelic.

Marchand is dealing with an upper-body injury that he suffered in the Bruins' 5-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Monday. The Bruins' leading scorer did not play in the third period of that game.

Kastelic, meanwhile, is dealing with a lower-body injury that he suffered in the Bruins' 4-3 overtime win over the Nashville Predators on Saturday. The 23-year-old forward has one goal and two assists in 12 games this season.

The Bruins are scheduled to host the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night. It is unclear if Marchand or Kastelic will be available for that game.
