Los Angeles Lakers Star Forward Expected to Miss Game Against Utah Jazz

Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA legend LeBron James, is doubtful to play in the Los Angeles Lakers' game against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night due to a bruised left heel, the team announced.

James, 21, suffered the injury in the Lakers' 119-112 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night. He played through the pain and finished the game with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, but he was clearly not moving well.

An MRI on Monday confirmed that James has a bruised heel, and the Lakers have listed him as doubtful for Tuesday's game. If James is unable to play, it will be a big blow to the Lakers, who are already without Anthony Davis (foot injury) and Russell Westbrook (calf injury).

The Lakers have lost four of their last five games and are now 19-24 on the season. They are currently in 13th place in the Western Conference, and they are just 2.5 games out of the play-in tournament.

The Jazz, meanwhile, are coming off a 139-116 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night. They are now 25-26 on the season and are in 10th place in the Western Conference.

The Lakers and Jazz will tip off at 7:30 p.m. PT on Tuesday night at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.
