Bomb Threat Being Investigated at University of Mississippi
University officials say there is no threat to the campus

A bomb threat was called in to the University of Mississippi on Tuesday, September 6, 2023, at approximately 10:30 a.m. The threat was called in to the university's police department, and the campus was immediately placed on lockdown. Police and emergency responders searched the campus, but no bomb was found.
The lockdown was lifted at approximately 12:30 p.m., and the campus has resumed normal operations. The university is continuing to investigate the threat, and no arrests have been made.
