Gareth Bale's brilliance helped Wales beat Iceland in Cardiff.
Gareth Bale produced a sensational performance as Wales beat Iceland 3-1 in Cardiff on Wednesday night. The Real Madrid forward scored two goals and set up the other for Hal Robson-Kanu as Wales moved four points clear at the top of their Nations League group.
Bale's first goal was a stunning free-kick that flew into the top corner of the Iceland goal. His second was a clinical finish after he had been set up by Robson-Kanu.
Bale was in inspired form throughout the match.
Bale was a constant threat to the Iceland defence and he caused them problems with his pace and skill. He also showed his aerial ability by winning several headers.
Wales manager Ryan Giggs was delighted with Bale's performance. He said: "Gareth was magnificent tonight. He was unplayable at times and he tore Iceland apart. He is a world-class player and he showed it tonight."
