Ambassador: Ukraine hopes to receive Russian-made weapons seized by Israel in Lebanon and Gaza
Ukraine may soon receive additional military aid in the form of Russian-made weapons confiscated by Israel in the Middle East. This is according to Ukraine’s ambassador to Israel, Yevhen Korniychuk.
Korniychuk stated that the weapons were seized by Israel from Hezbollah and Hamas in Lebanon and Gaza. He went on to say that Ukraine requested to receive these weapons from Israel, and that Israel is “positively considering” the request.
In recent weeks, Ukraine has received military aid from a number of Western countries. However, it is not often that Ukraine receives aid in the form of Russian-made weapons. It is still unclear if Israel has made a final decision on Ukraine’s request for Russian-made weapons. However, it is certainly a development that Ukraine is hoping for.
If Ukraine does receive the weapons, it would be a significant boost to its military efforts against Russia. Russian-made weapons are some of the most advanced in the world, and they would be a valuable asset to Ukraine’s armed forces.
It is important to note that Israel has not yet made a final decision on Ukraine’s request for Russian-made weapons. However, the fact that Israel is “positively considering” the request is a positive sign for Ukraine.
